Richly Scented Candles

Finding, understanding, and making richly scented candles.

Richly scented candles in ones home offer an inviting aroma that draws both family and visitors in.  Richly scented candles have the ability to not only fragrance our homes, but they have the ability to change ones mood.  They can relax one after a stressful day at work, and depending on the fragrance chosen, they can alter ones motivations to hunger, calm, flirt...or with a badly chosen fragrance even to leave the room.  (Unless that was the original desire, let's hope that doesn't happen often.)

Let's face it, there is quite a bit of competition out there in the business of creating and selling richly scented candles.  Not only that, but they can be expensive and far too often after we spend our hard earned money on products claiming to be fragrant that leave us disappointed with everything but a richly scented candle.  How many of you have opened a candle in a store that blows you away with rich scent, only to purchase it and once it's lit...nothing!? Or how about rich scent for a short period, but once you get further down the jar...nothing!?  The fact is richly scented candles are NOT a dime a dozen.  There are hundreds of manufacturers out there, big ones, small ones...and they all have their strengths AND weaknesses.  Finding the diamonds in the rough, that being the true richly scented candles, isn't easy.

To complicate things, there are things about richly scented candles we need to know.  Which wax do you prefer?  Paraffin, Soy, Soy blend, or another natural wax type?  What's the difference?  How are they wicked?  Why does it matter? What's the burn time?  Is the fragrance synthetic or essential, or is it a combination of both?  Our goal at the candlegateway.com is to help you understand the facts about these candles.  An even bigger goal at the candlegateway.com is to help you find...or even try your hand at making richly scented candles.

Please stop back often because things change daily.  As we find those richly scented candles we'll let you know about them.  Or, as we discover new tips on how to make them we'll let you know that too.  Have you found one, or do you wonder about one?  Even better!  Your comments on products you have found or made are desired.  Share your knowledge with our other readers.  We have a common goal:  Richly Scented Candles.
